1991 Andresen Colheita (bottled 2022)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

A cask sample drawn about 6 hours before being tasted.

1991 Andresen cask sample: floral yet nutty nose. Much more rounded than the 1998, and sweet on the palate; orange marmalade with great acidity on the sides of the tongue. Rich, with several layers of complexity and a delicious chalkiness from the tannins at the core. Dry cheeks on the aftertaste, orange marmalade on the long finish. Wonderful wine!    92/100. Tasted 14-Oct-22.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
