Drunk at Mariazinha in Matosinhos.

Brick red, 50% opaque. A slightly earthy or jellied tone to the fruit on the nose and the palate. Over the top of the earthiness is a lovely rose water and a great level of acidity. The acidity gives a nice freshness to the palate, despite the fruit being a little stewed. Gentle finish, soft rose and raspberry jam. Lingering and delicate. Very pleasant. 87/100. Drunk 15-Oct-22. Decanted 4 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
