NV Andresen White 40YO (bottled 2021)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Occasionally it is nice to have something special - especially at the end of a hot day, working in the garden in the heat - and when Laithwaites make it so easy to buy one of these from their local store.

Bottled 2021. Deep apricot in colour; intense dried tropical fruit on the nose; mango puree on the palate with a slight baked tone or earthiness on the late palate. Rich but well balanced with plenty of acidity. Good persistent and generous finish. 92/100. Drunk 09-Aug-22.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
