1970 Ramos Pinto

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

A bottle sourced from Vintage Wine & Port which had just started to seep. Deep rich red in colour, dark at 60% opaque. A delightful and expressive nose with flowers and fruit everywhere. Balanced entry with languid development, intense acidity coming with the generous fruit. Warm, fruit-first aftertaste which moves through multiple layers of flavour. Just such an enjoyable glass of wine! 95/100. Tasted 25-Jul-22. Decanted 6½ hours.
