1947 Cockburn

A rather elderly-looking browning wine.

It's lost its fruit, but it's delicious, fully resolved fortified sweet wine. Tastes less elderly than it looks.

40% opacity, red amber. Rich sweet nose. Very sweet, structure going.

A bunch of people got together at The White Horse Inn, Saffron Walden, for our traditional pre-Christmas get-together.
