1970 Taylor

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Rather closed on the nose but a bit of patience with the glass allows the buoyant redcurrant to emerge. Lovely red fruit to the nose. Vigorous and youthful red fruit on the entry, with a touch of soft tannin. Lighter structure on the mid-palate, generous layers of fruit balanced with subtle underlyers. A youthful to the soft fruit and with tannins that protrude only gently. A long fragrant redcurrant coulis finish. This is lovely smooth Port that is still quite youthful. 91/100. Drunk 10-May-21. Decanted 7½ hours.
