Can confirm that QH80 is still available. Also now have Sandeman if needed.

Please update status of this tasting.

For placemats, what bottles are coming, and brought by whom? I have promised Taylor, but might have access to others.

We should do a food order (menu). For me, please, starter = Duck liver pâté; experimental main = Beyond Meat vegan burger.

@jdaw1 - noise out of government suggests it is decreasingly likely that is going to be possible on this date. But I live in hope, for the moment.

Mockery was expected.

It is an experiment. I hope it is really good. But it might not be.

Yes, it will be. No need for mocking, it will just be grim. A dessert of gammon, egg and lard-fried chips will help you forget how bad your meal was.

Regret B&F, at short notice, now not going to be open on 23 June. I apologise for the need to rearrange yet again.

No apology required from you George. Great work on staying on the case and it will be all the better when it finally happens!

I wonder if it was Julian’s food order that sent shockwaves through the B&F team.

Alas, the menu has been degammoned.

And if I am the cause of the broader disaster, I can offer only humble apologies.

Did the B&F give any indication as to why they were not going to be open on Wednesday 23rd?

@ Alex - B&F said "I am sorry but we will be closed on the 20th 21st and 23rd of June". I am sure there is a good reason but have no further detail.

I think it's something to do with the Euro 2020 - I received a marketing email from Davy's today inviting me to watch England on a TV in a Davy's Wine Bar.

I'm too busy watching cricket. Currently watching the live TV broadcast from Taunton of Somerset v Surry in a T20 match.

Think it’s unlikely to be Euro related. No home nation games on 23rd.

Julian’s food order is a more likely cause.

Apologies: another error by me. I promised, but am now unable to find, 1980 Taylor. Substituting with a Noval Nacional, in the expectation that there will be less protest than there was about the food order.

Good news, since it seems that since my original post, I accidentally drank my F80 (I thought it was one of my F83s, but only found out on the cork once decanting...). Adoption please, if I make it off the reserve list!

I have now caught up, I think, with the emendations to everyone's allocations. I much envy jdaw1 the cellar that enables one to lose NN80, and appreciate his offering to provide it.
