No harm done: both GEAG and NAC have Gould Campbell.

Any interest in a group purchase?
For those that expressed an interest in this, with a day and a bit to go it’s already at £1000. As such, I’m withdrawing my interest.

Feel free to bid...

As there have been no posts for 111 days, this is a gentle reminder that the 1994 horizontal is still scheduled for 114 days hence, being Tuesday 16th November 2021.

I have 23 '94s, some still in owcs, but opening them would in most cases pose little problem.

Please consult if wines are proving hard to find.

I have an industry guest who I would like to invite to this tasting - I am happy to share glasses with him if required.

He has offered to contribute Churchill 1994, if we would like him to.

Please could somebody else become the organiser of this tasting?

I expect that I won’t be able to attend, but don’t yet want to wholly give up on attendance. If my seat were needed, I’d concede it.

I’ll step in and take on the organisation of this one, I have a soft spot for the 1994s.

Please don’t expect to see much happen until after my October 26 deadline has passed.

Realising I'm first reserve, I should point out that I have easy access to the Berry's 94 (bottled by SW). Happy to adopt if preferred.

The placemats commensurately updated.

When I was the organiser a provisional list of twenty-one Ports was made, and put in the placemats. Does the new organiser endorse that earlier selection?

The new organiser is a firm believer in the maxim “Less is more”. It is likely the number of Ports tasted will be nearer 14 than 21, but such decisions will be taken in a day or two.

I have just realised Glenn Eliott is still on the list of attendees. While Glenn is welcome to join us virtually, I do not believe that he is planning to fly to the UK for this tasting.

Glenn - if I am wrong in my assumption, please let me know!

In the meantime I am presumptively promoting Christopher to replace Glenn.

I have had a request to advise people of the bottles I would like them to contribute to the tasting. To facilitate my response I have tried to compile a list of the bottles each attendee has said they have available.

I don't have easy access to the Dow and would prefer to adopt. Happy to provide the BBR still.

Yes, still have a couple of bottles of Gould Campbell, the Passadouro, Taylor in bottles and magnums, and loads of the de la Rosa.

Also now have a couple of bottles of the Graham and a magnum of Churchill LBV.

All are immediately accessible.
