P'n'decant'n'pour. 70% opaque, pale rim.

Nose of red fruits, a little heat, sultanas, late.

Front palate briefly classic blueberry fruited Touriga Nacional, then a big wash of red pink and white currants, then some tannins later and some chocolate cherries in kirsch - but creamy milk chocolate rather than dark chocolate - on the long finish.

Slightly more heat late-middle than would be ideal.

Not utterly classic, but really nice wine.

+ 20 hours (stored in 'fridge in interim)

Still very pleasurable drinking but not as good as yesterday. Slightly simpler, more prunes on the mid palate, and the heat on the finish becoming more prominent. Probably at its best about 2 hours after decanting, so not one to keep long term.
