Sample for tasting, decanted and then under argon for two months.
Pale red, orange rim. Looks like a '75.
Hint of sulphur on the nose. Not quite clean?
Dusty rose petal jam on the palate.
Slightly dirty, hot finish.
Light. Not a success.
Consumed 28/4/21

Re: 1995 Churchill Agua Alta
Churchill single quinta. A 9cl sample bottle decanted under Argon by Neil from a 75cl bottle for the original date of the Churchill tasting on 24 Feb 2021.
A gentle dark rose colour, but modestly pigmented so as to be the lightest of the four wines; 50% opaque. Sadly the nose is full of bottle stink, very pronounced. The bottle stink taints the palate, giving some bitter chocolate and bitter plum sweetness. The bitter plum gives a good, long finish. This would have been a very enjoyable Port if the nose had been better. Not Rated. Drunk 28-Apr-21.
