I'm also interested in Quinta do Noval 1995 VP. Does anybody have any information on the wine or where it can be located in the UK?

I was given a bottle of QN95 by a friend for my 40th birthday in 2005. I opened it on the morning that I left home to go to the Douro for the 2010 harvest and tasted it with some others here on the tram from OPO to Oporto. Unfortunately, it was corked :-(

Found 4 x 2000 Quinta do Vesuvio with OWC for $45/bottle today. Bought the other 2 bottles for $50/each from a different vendor so I now have my 6-pack!

Hi Phil,
If the price is right, I volunteer for that...not seen any in a while - used to buy any I could find. Last saw 10 halves in California at about $20 a piece and my brother bought the lot. Apparently they were lovely.

Sure; it's still in my wish list, along with more other things than I can afford :) I've not seen any at auction aside from one case of 'probably O70' which I bid at with Axel last year, but which went for too much money. Am still watching out for it.

Having been away from the board for a few months, thought it best to update on my situation. From my list I have acquired at Taylors QdV 68 and 82. I am still on the hunt for the rest as well at the Qunita do Noval 1995. I hope many of you have had happy hunting for the ports you were looking for.

Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

My current updated wish list:
- F70, G77, W70, Kopke Colheita 82/74 halves
I'm mostly looking for the first three in small (or shared) quantity at auctions.
if anyone sees pre-1990 Kopke colheita available in halves anywhere in UK please let me know; similarly if you get some in a mixed auction lot and don't want it, please drop me a note!

Good luck with that! These day, to get new release Barca Velha you have to be a member of the Barca Velha Club. When a vintage is released, Club members are offered the chance to buy a very small allocation (I think it was 3 bottles for the 2004 vintage released this year). There is a long (was it 15 years?) waiting list to become a club member.

But then you don't say that you're in a rush to buy some - perhaps 15 years time would be OK...

Happy to be in on that F70 auction share!
And interested generally in 82 colheitas. Have you had the Krohn?

I'm also looking for F70 but provenance is always a little difficult to establish (and I'm also little credulous!). As for Kopke, I bought a single h/b of 20yr White in Porto last year which I drank over Christmas and I must say I was quite impressed and now wish I'd also bought similar of the 30yr and 40yr that were also on sale. And yes, the Krohn 82 is good but the 78 is better imo and I'm looking to visting my family in a fortnight when I can avail myself of more from a particular retailer!

I've finally compiled my wishlist as well (to sort of 'complete' my VP collection):

- Warre 2007 (3)
- Dow 2007 (3)
- Any 2003's (12 in total) with, if possible, better than average Price-Quality ratio's
- Fonseca 1997 (3 2 )
- Taylor 1997 (3)
- Martinez 1994 (3)
- Gould Campbell 1994 (3)
- Smith Woodhouse 1977 (3)
- Graham 1977 (3)
- Any 1970's (15 11 in total) with, if possible, solid Price-Quality ratio's and solid reputation (good provenance as a big plus as well)
- Any 1966 (3), with good provenance Got 'em!
- Any 1963 (3), with good provenance Got 'em!

Still looks like quite a big list now I've put it all together  :?

Gerwin, my local Gall & Gall has Dow 2007 for €60. On their "crazy wine days" you even get 50% reduction on the 2nd bottle.
I would not be suprised if they have been standing there for over 3 years but guess that with such a young port and our cool climate this should not be be major issue.

Maybe worthwhile to visit some Gall & Gall's in your area.
