PhilW - yes, of course.
The image quality is pretty poor, but I can't upload a better image due to the graphics size limit. Could email you the full image if you want?

Re: Warre 1963 Question
PhilW - probably won't help, but I'll upload a photo of the whole cap. Nothing else on bottles as they're unlabelled.

Re: Sandeman 1942 - another question...
From the same source, also acquired a stock of Ferreira 45, Tuke Holdsworth 47, Mackenzie 48, Boa Vista 50 and Delaforce 58. Given they're all quite rare I might arrange a tasting in early 2019 if there's sufficient interest...

Sandeman 1942 - another question...
From a different source to the Warre 1963 I've asked about, recently obtained three bottles of Sandeman 1942.
There isn't a tasting note on TPF, and I can't find anything recent elsewhere. Does anybody know anything about this wine?

Warre 1963 Question
I've just acquired a small parcel of Warre 1963 which has a quite distinctive four-leaf clover (?) design embossed in the foil (photo below).
Does anybody know if this indicates a particular bottler?

Re: Bottle Watch
I've still got a couple of bottles of Rebello Valente 1972 from a whole unopened case I "won" at Christies some years ago.
Haven't got any TNs, but the bottles were all in perfect condition and from memory the contents were pretty good.

Re: Warre's 1970 Private Cellar release
This was released by the Symington toward the end of 2016 and is (supposedly) the final release from their stocks. Therefore hoping it's in perfect condition...
Will post a tasting note.

2012 Niepoort LBV
Bottled 2016, half bottle with "proper" driven cork. A gift from one of the sommeliers at the Rex Whistler restaurant at Tate Britain, but appears to be currently retailing around £20 for a 75cl bottle. Pleasant nose, with good body and evident tannin. Slightly spirity finish, but overall ...

Taylor's Single Harvest 1967
If anybody's interested & hasn't seen this, the latest release of the Taylor's "Very Old Single Harvest Port" - the 1967 is now available (follows previous 64, 65 & 66 releases).
BI Wines are punting it out at £380/3ib or £740/6ib. C&B were similarly priced.

1986 Churchill Fojo
Two bottles from a case of three, via Laithwaites in mid/late 90s, purchase price around £25 per bottle (unfortunately can't find full records). Decanted about an hour before drinking. Still quite dark, with no obvious browning to rim; softening tannin but retaining some structure; lots of primary f...

Re: Range of Port for sale...
Many apologies for triggering such a torrent of comments/activity. Really was just trying to share the Port love! If it matters, I can attest that the wineowners thing does work. I've sold some wine (all Bordeaux) & purchased some wine (all Port) and have received both cash & liquid receipts...

Range of Port for sale...
Thought I'd share this as it might be of general interest... The trading function within the WineOwners.com platform has a collection of Port for sale, apparently mostly purchased at original release & stored with the wine merchant ever since. I've just taken delivery of a case of Dow 70 from th...
