Re: Port for Easter
Opened a Niepoort 2020 LBV last night. Initial pop and pour weren't as good as the first bottle. Blueberry, anise, and glue flavors. I am hoping they'll whiff off. I wasn't planning on really getting into the bottle until Monday or Tuesday.

Another Graham’s 1945 at auction for €88.08 all in! Collected today, slight seepage but as you can see level is good. Executive decision made as this is too good a bottle to mess around: new cork and wax applied immediately. 2/3’rds of cork came out revealing ‘sham’ 194’ so I think it is safe to as...

I shop there several times a year. They give me a decent discount on wine. The tinned fish selection is equally impressive as their wine selection. There's a large room just for Bacalhau and the frozen seafood selection is crazy. Just down the street are a few great Portuguese restaurants to complet...

I've had success returning spoiled bottles if bought at retail from my local B&M's. I've never been declined, but I've only returned 3-4 bottles ever.
One time I had a bottle of corked Bordeaux I bought a case of and retailer took back the whole case.

I read the implication of the '45 Warre could've been to commemorate 80 years since the war or in recognition of his 45th presidency. I tend to think it would've been the former. What does pão de queijo look like? Is it literally bread made with cheese in it? Yes, it's a ball of bread with cheese and has tapioca flour mixed in. A lot of people buy them frozen and heat at home if the bakery is not convenient. https://www.vindulge.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Pao-de-Queijo....

We are lucky locally living in a 30%+ Brazilian community. Nata's are made daily at many stores.
We usually go for pão de queijo's instead. Just as good with port.

Ironic as my wife works at a fabric store and we have like 10+ yards of cheese cloth at a minimum.
