This LBV along with the 2011 Warre LBV are the two we buy a lot of. I'm a big fan of the '20 Niepoort LBV but have seen a little variance in 15-20 bottles we've had so far.

Had a bottle of 1977 Grahams VP the other night.

Still shows the heat on the finish. Fully integrated and nothing to get excited about. Not bad, but not one of Graham's better vintages. Drink it as a more casual vintage rather than the centerpiece of the evening.

MAP gas is my go-to, but even that takes to long for me.

Kitchen gas burner is not up to the job of heating tongs IMO. Fireplace does it for sure.

I would go on the younger side of port or something that is still fruity. Not something you want to put much contemplation on what you're drinking. Some tannin would help too.

The 2020 Niepoort LBV is slowing turning for the better.

Opened a Niepoort 2020 LBV last night. Initial pop and pour weren't as good as the first bottle. Blueberry, anise, and glue flavors. I am hoping they'll whiff off. I wasn't planning on really getting into the bottle until Monday or Tuesday.

I've had success returning spoiled bottles if bought at retail from my local B&M's. I've never been declined, but I've only returned 3-4 bottles ever.

One time I had a bottle of corked Bordeaux I bought a case of and retailer took back the whole case.
