Muddy red/brown with a fair amount of particles in suspension, 30% opaque. Opened 1pm and double filtered but tested, quite sharp Left for 3 hours and tried again this time much smoother and sweeter but with a slight bitterness leading to a lovely finish Another 2 hours and it’s gorgeous Interesting...

I've just bought some S20 year tawny mostly for the bottles so I'm a bit more organised for the next double blind sillyness .... However it has the advantage (??) that Mandy has decided she quite likes it and I'm watching the first bottle rapidly empty .....

Very well ....we all need to go to Baffin island where stunning.vintage.port is available Perhaps with Cliff's help we can organise a blind tasting !! Only real problem I can see to this splendid plan is that the average temperature on Baffin island is not ideal for a port evening .... temperatures ...

So with much fiddling I have chosen the ports for the evening and hopefully accommodated what everybody has. Please check the front post to make sure I have you down as providing a port that you actually have and please shout if we have a problem. Thanks to those who have agreed to provide two ports...

Just so I competely understand what I'm meant to be doing and what happens when I arrive, I bring a decanted bottle which has been decanted back into its port bottle in foil (is that what has been agreed)? so they will look nearly all of the same. when I arrive, I pick up 2 post it tags and a label...
