I have checked and I have Portal in single bottle size so will bring that together with TTF and TV. I will then need to acquire or adopt one more bottle.

To put it another way - I prefer ribbon tweeters, but I find electrostatics lacking in the bass. It doesn’t mean I wouldn’t want some stacked Quad ESL 57s in the third listening room.

Re: NV DR Lo 70 Agri Roncao
I think for me it is missing what I think of as a ‘port-ness’ in the way that the very best Colheitas, for example the 1896 Krohn, retain it. It renders the timbre of the cello differently. I suppose I am looking for a red fruit note which (very reasonably) you may say I am unlikely to find in a rea...

Also unfeasibly dark, with big rich ripe fruit. Marginally, the best of the four 1980s wines on offer tonight, the extra ripeness giving it a lip-smacking quality. Very good port.

Even more unfeasibly dark than those around it. Big rich palate, a touch better than the 1982. Really fine finish of baked blackcurrant and black cherry. I found the sinewy quality attractive.

Deep red. nose a little warm. Palate was sweet and lovely with rich red fruit. Very attractive port - but possibly lacked a little of the class that it showed on first opening that morning. Third on the night and that was not unfair.
