Re: A short goodbye.
Andy, we never had the pleasure to meet but I am saddened but also touched by your message to the forum. I can only say that I wish you a peaceful good bye surrounded by those you love, and of course, some excellent Port. Next glass shall have a toast to you.

A pleasure to have you commit and join. My parents live in Lancashire (although I'm actually a proud Yorkshire man.. Living in the south) so often find myself over there. I'll drop you a message and perhaps a small tasting could be in order up there?

If you find yourself in London, you should try get yourself over to a Port tasting. There's plenty going on!

Re: Strawberry Fields Forever (Mon 1st July - Spot The Taylor Vertical)
Is it worth it? Different question. How fragile is this? It shouldn't be terribly fragile. The nice thing is it does have redundancy built in with that there should be two records of whats in the bottle - the bottle itself and Glenn's record. Should the labelling be messed up, at the end of the eve...

Re: Strawberry Fields Forever (Mon 1st July - Spot The Taylor Vertical)
A thought if you really want to make sure that you dont know your bottle and that everyone can help with pouring. Glenn would have to create a random mapping of a person attending and bottle to a numbered bottle setting, a greek letter, and a might I suggest a windings character (?). Additionally, t...

1991 Niepoort
Enjoyed at £18/glass at The White Swan, Fence 11/04/24.
Dark red. Fairly mild red fruity nose although a strong spirity hit. Blackcurrants on the palate with a hot mouth feel. Not a terribly finessed Port but certainly more than drinkable.

Didn't realise this was a thing - many thanks for the kind message Alex. Very pleased to annouce the birth of my twins, Otilia and Sasha. Both babies are doing very well and mum has recovered brilliantly. If you're wondering why I have been cancelling all my tasting appearances, you now know.

So I’ve just bought my summer supply of Kopke 10YO White and Kopke 2010 White Colheita.
