Re: 2014 Cockburn Canais

That back label is excellent. I’ve not seen any bottle labels similar to it on any of the other SFE offerings - wonder if they will roll it out more widely? (e.g. on Quinta do Bomfim/da Senhora da Ribeira/da Cavadinha etc.)

Re: 2003 Horizontal - Tue 18 March 2025

Current draft of the placemats (needing assignment of who is bringing what — to happen later). I propose the following initial assignments for those who have indicated what they've got: MC (Cr) JMK (SV) RON (G, in halves) MPM (W) CPR (N) NAC (T) MSC (F) GEAG (Ni) JDAW (D) This leaves the following ...

At €130 (bought from Kopke itself) I think it was a good buy. Can't wait to open it.
It really is an outstanding wine (and I note you’ve obtained at an outstanding price, too!)

Thanks, all. As a majority have now indicated 18 March 2025 is acceptable, I’ll contact the B&F to get this booked in. Once done, I’ll update the first post with the reference.

We’re doing very well for attendees and bottles. Now to the matter of a date.

I propose Tuesday 18 March 2025.

How does that sound, folks?

Re: 2003 Horizontal - 2025 date TBC

Wouldn’t hurt to do a 2003 horizontal now that it has reached 21 years of age. Maybe we pencil something in for 2025 and g...

Cheers.

You’re correct, Neil - the above is purely for the “bulk order” purposes. Incidentally, the wines ordered from Portugal have arrived :D
