Re: Made from Port packaging

Inspired by Julian's lamp, thought I'd have a play. Needs a better bulb and a shade, but quite pleased with this... That’s very good! I feel like there must be something that could be usefully stored in the box... Indeed. Box construction is pretty robust and has a hinged lid with magnetic catches....

Taylor’s have just advertised a new very old tawny, this time a 1896 colheita. Rather than create a new thread, I thought I would bump this one.
Apparently 1700 bottles being released with an RRP of £3950.

Re: 2021 Virtual Tastings - Planner

I haven’t organised a physical tasting for a while (in common with almost everyone else) and was reading George’s suggestions elsewhere on the years which have not recently featured as the theme for one of our tastings. Would there be interest in a tasting with a theme along the lines of “Vintage P...

Re: Wednesday 28th April 2021 - Online Churchill tasting with the Port Forum

To help the Churchill team prepare for their call with us, please post here what you intend to open for the tasting. I still have the remains of the bottles that were sent out as samples - 1991 Vintage, Agua Alta 1995, Gricha 2005, Gricha 2009 - so I'll go with those. Will be interesting to see how...

Re: Taylor's Terra Feita Vertical, Provisional Date 10 June 2021, B&F

We may need to move this one, as we are still currently limited to tables of 6 for this date. We might be able to have more than one table - perhaps 6, 6, 2 - with no physical intercommunication between them - but that depends on the situation nearer the time. Will update in a month. My view is tha...

Port Club Tasting - 15th April

Some of you may have already received an email about this from Churchill's? We are going to stick to this date for the general Port Club tasting but I would...

Re: 2021 Virtual Tasting #8 - Thurs 15 April - Graham’s

Graham's thing starts at 1900 No. Just no. Dow declared 1899; Graham declared 1901; approximately everybody else declared 1900. So we can’t start a Graham tasting at 1900. Did you mean Warre? And if you are arranging a Warre vertical starting at 1900, yes please, definitely include me. Most amusing.

Graham's thing starts at 1900 (I think), so guess we'll be starting sometime between 2000 and 2030.
