We'll be kicking things off with a magnum of Gusbourne's 2018 Blanc de Noirs.
Had one of these on Christmas Day and it was excellent.

A 12bt OWC from WineOwners in March 2020.
Decanted 0815-0830 on morning of the tasting. In decanter for approximately seven hours before going back into the bottle.
Capsule pretty good and hiding some old (?) seepage. Cork a bit loose but otherwise all good.

Re: Monday 13th October 2025 - Taylor Vertical
The rules could be made more fun. People may opt to “hold firm”. To bump from the list somebody who has so opted, it must for a bottle ≥10 years older than the current youngest missing vintage. If a bottle not that old were offered, it would be the next in line who is compared to that newly offered...

At +48 hours remembered there was still a glass left in the decanter.
Hadn’t opened up any further and the bitterness was more evident.
Should probably have finished it last night.
Have 23 more, so plenty of opportunities for tasting.

1st half bottle from two cases of 12 purchased EP. Bottles are individually numbered. This one was CJV0611. Good cork, with very little staining. Quite a lot of fine sediment. Deep purple core, ruby at rim. After 30 minutes in decanter, unsurprisingly still pretty closed. Maybe some dark fruit, but ...

Thursday 8th May - VE Day 80th Anniversary Tasting of 1945s
Further to some off-line discussion, a repeat of the VE Day 75th Anniversary Tasting has been proposed. This also, conveniently, offers an opportunity to conduct a small tasting of the 1945s. The Green Room at the Boot & Flogger has been booked for the evening of Thursday 8th May 2025. This tast...
