Re: 2020 Declarations
GST 2011 seems to be at £600+ through merchants that have stock in the UK, which is obviously above the going auction rate but significantly above $267

@GEAG - I think it might be difficult to find the TV87. There was only a single confirmed sighting for the TV vertical next year, and I suspect it might be being held back for that tasting. How about the 2005 instead? That’s readily available. A&M have half a dozen TV87 listed at £78/bt inc, de...

Re: NEW DATE: Wed 14 Dec 2022 - Quevedo Closure Experiment
I've updated the first post to include Nadia Quevedo at the tasting and to add the details of venue and timing. Note that the Boot & Flogger were full on the 14th so we've switched over to 67 Pall Mall (thank you Neil!). The room at 67 Pall Mall is a little smaller than the Red Room at the B&am...

I would surmise that these are being primarily crated up for the nouveau riche in China, who usually have a sweet tooth but also tend to be tannin averse. And if they can command a great price, then the very best of luck to them. However as a UK investment prospect, I would advise no - the secondar...

I have just noticed the 23rd would mark the interesting palindromic date mark of 23022023.
EDIT : or maybe I am an idiot and we need to wait nine years for that to work

I think I could make either of those Feb 23 dates and still have a ‘normal’ W70 to offer up if required.

Considering the packaging etc, if the juice is proportionally better than the 50YO then it IS a bargain… in relative terms.Alex Bridgeman wrote: ↑16:54 Tue 27 Sep 2022 Fenwick's were the first to get an offer into my inbox. They have priced it at £350 per bottle - so roughly the same price as the Sandeman 50yo.

Re: An Evening of Port with the Symington's, Thursday 1st December 2022
We are a funny bunch. We spend a lot of time saying how Port is underpriced and undervalued as one of the worlds great wines, and this is still said despite any recent increases in pricing. But, when there is a movement in the pricing relating to Port to move it towards the pricing for other quality...

Thanks Phil. My research prior to posing the question was poor. So to reinforce that poor level of research, I pose another question. Royal Warrants
With the sad passing of the Queen, meaning we have a new King, I was wondering if Royal Warrants transfer automatically or if each retailer and brand that holds one will need to apply to see if they will be required by King Charles. Anyone know?

I am just wondering why you don’t weigh them as soon as you have them physically to give you a base measurement. Starting at 18 years seems like it may miss being able to spot a trend of loss at an earlier point. Or is that being completely silly?
