Deep red, 99% opaque centre and a red rim. Lovely on the nose, full of dusty fruit with hints of blueberry and nettles. Modest entry, with sweet fruit and then powerful tannins that grab the cheeks and don't let go. Lovely fruit but the palate is dominated by the tannin - air on the palate just brings out more tannin! There is a flick of acidity on the aftertaste then a tannin-led, tooth-dry finish that is full of fruit; massive length. What an amazing wine. 93/100. Drunk 27-Mar-15.
