Is anyone but Glenn watching this tonight? With an audience of 100m there is a good chance of more than one person from TPF watching.

Me. Every year since 1983.

And half time coincides with the appearance of the Great Red Spot emerging from Jupiter's western limb so I don't have to listen to Katy Perry.

Talisker 10 yr old for me.

Why do the selected singers always have to make such an excrutiating mess of the anthem?

Because they are American.

Next year they should have Tom Jones. Or Jimmy Somerville.

Jimmy Sommerville would be brilliant.

Are you watching C4 or Sky?

Sky. You?

C4. I refuse to give money to Murdoch on the grounds that I oppose virtually every one of the values he espouses.

Plus I like their commentary team of Nat Coombs and Mike Carson.

You have persuaded me. Now on C4.

Who are you supporting?

New England. They were the first team I went to see at home in the early '90s and I've followed them ever since. I used to manage 2-3 games live per season but since they became more successful and since I stopped travelling that's all changed.

That's one of the few things I miss about not travelling any more.

Right. That's enough for me. I'm off to bed now and will listen to 5live as I fall asleep.

Enjoy Katy Perry's big red spot at half time.

2015: Thrown away by the Seahawks rather than won by the Patriots.

A well-played game overall. But that last play call by the Seahawks was excruciatingly bad.

You have the #1 rushing offense facing the #16 rushing defense. You have the best running back in the league. You have the best rushing QB in the league, who also happens to be a wizard at running the read option. Said running back gained at least 1 yard on 22 of his previous 24 rushes, including 4 yards on the immediately preceding play. You even have a time out.

Feed.

The.

Beast.

At least once, right? But no, instead you throw a slant against a defense that practices against one of the best slot receivers in the game every day.

*sigh*

It wasn't so much a pass there it was the type....toss a corner over the outside shoulder that has no chance of being intercepted. Better yet, audible to an option sweep/bootleg. Great game in so many ways--fun to watch.

True, there are better pass plays that would have made more sense. Corner fade, play action, back shoulder... lots of possibilities.
