Tom - could I adopt please. I'd like you to add the Cockburn to the list of bottles being adopted by the group. To those of us who recall the days of steam computing, this comes as little surprise.

PCs were really useless at managing graphics in their early days, so when Macs came along with the ability to efficiently manage images without taking an age to do so, all those of an artistic disposition jumped ship.

And until Mr Gates found his philanthropic side, his shameless pursuit of personal wealth got up the noses of many on the left of the political spectrum.

Why is it though, after all the stratospheric increases in memory and processing capacity in PCs, I still find myself staring at an hourglass for just as long, and having to reboot just as often, as I did 15 years ago?

This is an essential question. My current laptop is much, much faster than the one I had until last year. I edited long films on that machine; all I do on this one is make PowerPoint documents. And yet it is ten times slower.

Good question. My home printer can’t do A3.

I will bring. Can print at copy shop in Belfast before I leave, nice card and only a few quid.
