T63: orange-red, 20% opaque. Silky red fruit, very thick mid-palate. Quite lovely.

Clear rim, rusty burgundy to light ruby core. Nose is balanced with fruit, caramel and rich brandy-esque notes. Palate is silky and the wine has a great mouth feel, red fruit, caramel and a hint of dried nuts. Very very good. 92 pts.

Light orange colour with a hint of brown on the rim; 15% opaque. Gentle nose, attractive but not much fruit over the heat. Soft entry with little immediate fruit; hot on the mid-palate. Jelly bean flavours develop on the late palate. Hot aftertaste with a very peppery bite. Heat lingers into the finish before a dry length with gentle chocolate tannins. 88/100. 22-Mar-13. Decanted 4½ hours.
