Carried in from Spain

Post by SushiNorth »

Are there any inexpensive (but interesting) ports that someone might be able to get in Spain (but not the US)? I have a colleague coming in and they offered, it would be nice if I could give them a short list.

Shipping within the EU is pretty trivial (especially compared to shipping from the EU to the US), so depending on how much time you have you might want to consider ordering bottles and having them shipped to your colleague.

For instance, you can still occasionally find the 1952 Dalva Golden White Colheita in Europe... and that would definitely be worth importing via your colleague.

There are lots of Spanish wine merchants selling "Portos" on http://www.wine-searcher.com
