Re: Do you think this is a good deal?
I haven't checked specific prices but an average of $28.57 for half bottles seems a little high to me, particularly with 6 of them being 1997s which tend to be priced failry well these days.
As a comparison, I recently bought some Graham's 85 halves retail in the UK at <$40 each and have seen some Quarles Harris 1985s for around $20. I think that makes these younger wines look a bit expensive. But we know that anyway so maybe it is an OK deal.
I don't think I've helped

Like derek said, the younger wines are high..
and it looks to be you'll pay a premium for half bottles.
for retail, it's an okay deal, definitely no bargain

If you don't mind paying a premium for half bottles than maybe worth a punt - but as others have said, no bargain.

Re: Do you think this is a good deal?
Told the guy 400 was little high, he dropped price on his listing to 350, I just asked him if he would take 280 for them. Hopefully...
Re: Do you think this is a good deal?
Be careful listening to guys in the UK - their sense of price is distorted.
$400 for the lot isn't a great deal, but it's also not bad. That looks like a pretty normal retail price for a bunch of 375s to me.
$350 for the lot looks more like a nice - but still not great - price for that batch of bottles. I haven't checked, but you can probably do better by piecing out the order on wine-searcher.com. But of course then you'd be paying more for shipping from multiple stores.
If he'll sell for $280 you'd be getting a great deal.

I puchased the 14 bottles for 300 (plus shipping) Thought this was a good deal and the 375's will provide a nice window to what their bigger brothers and sisters will be like.

That seems fair, you essentially got regular bottles of 97/00/03 at $43 each, but they'll age a little faster and you can explore their youth, guiltfree. If you ever need company in that exploration...
