Quinado, matured in barrel for over 100 years without racking. 400 litres from a single cask, bottled for these packs - and no more for future release! Deep olive brown colour; 60% opaque. A wonderful nose of old Port with the marked vanilla overlay typical of an aged quinado. Again slightly thickened on the palate, wonderful vanilla and orange citrus flavours blended in with the balanced Port. Rich citrus finish. Incredibly long, full of flavour, rich and fabulous. An absolutely stunning wine - is this a perfect wine? If not, it’s almost there. 99/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
