1963 Petre’s Colheita from Niepoort. Bottling date not known but believed, from the sello, to be late 1970s. A little râncio on the nose, flat but with a little floral rose perfume. Smooth texture on the palate, generous acidity giving an elegant structure. Bright star fruit on the palate. Fresh and clear but with a gentle coffee finish from the nearly fully integrated tannins. Gentle but persistent finish, citrus acidity, full of fruit. Apart from the nose, rather enjoyable.  87/100. Drunk 02-Mar-24. Decanted 1 day.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
