2004 Quevedo Colheita (bottled 2021)

Quevedo 2004 Colheita, bottled in 9cl in 2021 for the 2021 advent calendar. Even in this small format, 18 months in bottle has allowed this wine to throw a sludgy deposit. Similar nose to the 2002 but much smoother and more rounded on the palate. Perhaps holding less depth and vigour, but certainly a much more enjoyable wine to drink today than the 2002 Colheita. This is fruity, balanced and rather nice.  88/100. Tasted 21-Mar-23. Decanted 1 hour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
