NV Quinta do Noval Tawny 20YO (bottled 2023)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

We were invited to join a tasting organised for some visitors from the Carlton Club on the second morning of our two night stay at Noval. The tasting included this wine.

Pop and pour. Bottled 2023. Deep orange alongside the brick red of the 10YO, 50% opaque. Dried apricot on the nose. Thickened texture. Generous dried fruit on the palate, a touch of orange peel. Dried citrus peel aftertaste, nutty finish. Such a long finish! A very fine tawny. 92/100. Tasted 21-Jun-23. Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
