Mature copper red colour, 40% opaque. Warm stewed redcurrant nose, fruit and a little cedar. Balanced on the palate with sweet red jelly babies matched by a good menthol bite giving a good spice to the fruit. Generous acidity, integrated well into the fruit keeping the wine fresh and lively. Lovely, lovely red jelly baby finish of great length. Fine Port. 90/100. Decanted 5 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
