Re: 1985 Graham
A deep mature red colour, deeper in tone than the Mz85 tasted alongside; 50% opaque. Subdued on the nose compared to the flamboyant Martinez, very gentle, slightly spiced sweet red cherry. Balanced and fragrant entry, lots of red cherry, sweet and with the fruit still very young, the palate being dominated by the fruit. Lovely drinking, full of fruit but less complex and therefore less interesting, in need of more time in the cellar to develop the complexity it will show one day. A long white cherry fruit finish. Lovely Port, just not very complex yet. 93/100. Decanted 5 hours.
