An attractive mature bronze colour, 40% opaque. Gentle sweet redcurrant and spicy nutmeg nose, very nice. Smooth texture with a nice grip and plenty of fruit on the palate. Big and fragrant aftertaste with a huge cranberry and bitters finish. The finish is huge; it's dominated by the fruit but the fruit is backed by the tannins and acidity. A wine so balanced, so impressive. Ferreira's style is usually pure elegance and balance, but this wine has power as well as finesse. 93/100. Tasted 13-Jun-23.
