Mature bronze colour, 50% opaque. Mature with sweet fruit on the nose, attractive and deliciously ripe. Smooth on entry, bringing ripe and mature fruit. There is a slight bitter tone to the fruit, which gives a lovely additional layer of flavour and texture. Rose hip and redcurrant dominate the flavours but there is a little heat on the aftertaste and a finish full of redcurrant syrup. Still surprisingly young. 92/100. Tasted 13-Jun-23.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
