Purchased in December 2009 from Majestic @ £8 and cellared (aka forgotten about in a cupboard) until being opened today. 40% Touriga Nacional, 30% Touriga Franca and 30% Tinta Roriz.
The fruit is sweet, rounded and perfumed; ripe and fragrant on the nose but beautifully structured on the palate with good acidity and tannins which have softened and integrated. A lovely sour cherry and fresh but ripe blackcurrant palate and long finish. Given the price and level, this was fantastic value for money and I wish I had bought several cases, not just two bottles. 89/100. Drunk 04-May-22. Decanted 2½ hours.
