1977 Taylor

Post by winesecretary »

Lovely garnet colour, 60% opaque. Nose full of violets. Plums on the palate, still a bit of the Taylor pepper on the finish. A brilliant bottle of this port.

Narrowly WOTN over the F77 (8 points as opposed to 7).

Consumed 30/12/21

Balanced, smooth, looks like a 77!

Mint and pepper - a great wine.

Just opend a bottle last week-end with friends.
A really great wine - I am curious if it can even get better, the other 2 bottles will stay closed for years to come.
