London in March?
Is anyone interested in getting together in London in March at some point to share someport? I'm only asking because it's been a while since the Deeper Underground offline and it looks like the next one being arranged may not be until the end of May.

Now that we have a quorom organised, I'll drop some emails to non-forum folks who might like to attend and see if we can build up from here.
I suggest that we choose a theme of "Bring a bottle wrapped in Aluminium Foil"

I can confirm that the remainder of the Executive Committee of The Offline on 18th March (not May) in London is in full agreement with this proposal and the motion has now been carried.AHB wrote: I suggest that we choose a theme of "Bring a bottle wrapped in Aluminium Foil"

I decided what to bring last night. I'm getting all excited. Two ports I can guarantee that you have never tried before and will love tasting!

I haven't picked mine yet. I think I need a good browse through my stock on Sunday.

Err. Not quite. Remember that the plan was one pre-Falklands conflict and one post? I'm afraid that you'll have to choose between the Nacional and the Fonseca - just let me know which one it will be and then when we do the blind tasting you can identify it immediately.Derek T. wrote:Noval Nacional 1931 and Fonseca 1927? Sound OK?

You have obviously forgotten about the Falkland Island's Sheep Interference Conflict of 1929 - that is the one referred to in the rules, not the one from the early 1980'sAHB wrote: Remember that the plan was one pre-Falklands conflict and one post?

I decanted the younger of my two ports this evening at around 6pm (OK, 18:13 to be precise).
It smells yummy, looks yummy and, apparently, tastes yummy
The older bottle will travel to London intact to be decanted around lunchtime through my jdaw-travel-filter-kit.

Who? - AHB, Christopher and me
What? - It has to be port. It must be wrapped in foil. It should be post WW2. If bringing 2 halves instead of one whole then one should be post Falklands Conflict
Where? - do you really need to ask?
When? - tomorrow at 18:00
More are welcome.

Annoyingly, have prior engagement in Reading at 18:00Derek T. wrote:Who? - AHB, Christopher and me

Port is basically a red drink
Why not change it to 23:00 - AHB goes that way on the train so could point you in the right direction when he gets off at his stop. You would probably then wake up in Penzance at 04:00 but who gives a ****?KillerB wrote:Annoyingly, have prior engagement in Reading at 18:00Derek T. wrote:Who? - AHB, Christopher and me

And I don’t have any foil.
I have a prior engagement at Madison Square Garden at 6pm EST, so send my apologies. And I don’t have any foil.
