Slightly faded out wine with a dry tight nose. Moderate to light is weight; it has a candyish yet subtle soft finish. 91 points

Vesuvio 1996 is a bit green in the nose, but spicy and with a distinct cinammon note. In the mouth, there's smoke, black pepper, and a little bit of rooty flavor, with a fruit base that isn't as dominating as its peers. 92.
