As this now has a fair amount on it I'm starting to do backups. Just done the first one so if some weasly, spotty little oik from Milton Keynes thinks that it's a good idea to hack us then we can restore.

I suppose I'd better do this daily.

Anything goes wrong, restore last backup;

Ermmmm... that's it.

Alan,

Did another one today - I need to put it on a schedule somewhere but I haven't used a diary for years and I'm really rubbish with electronic calendars.

Do we yet have a geographically disparate, hot failover site? What is the SLA for site-disaster recovery? How many mirror sites do we have hosting the forum?? Tell me we are at the very least ACTIVE-PASSIVE clustered man!!!??? :shock:

Okay, sorry. Brought work to the forum for a second there... bad Todd... BAD Todd! (I'm banishing myself to the corner and will consume no port as a punishment for... uh, nevermind too late.) :D

Actually, regarding Todd's point. The server itself is backed up by the ISP and they use RAID and I am backing it up here, which is nowhere near the server. I think we're covered.
