Alex, Wolfgang: just in case you hadn’t noticed, bringing Dow 1878 would not cause an unwanted duplication.

I know I need to declare, I just haven't decided yet.

Mine will be Army&Navy bottled Dow 1963! The shop was based in Victoria street which fits the theme I think! Also the Army&Navy were an important factor in the Victoria's reign!

The possible guest has not replied to his invitation.

I shall contact another possible guest since there is a space for them.

JDAW seems very insistent that I should bring a bottle of Dow 1878. Sadly I don't have a Dow '78 at home, I drank it at the weekend. Instead I shall bring a bottle of Sandeman 1963, purchased from Victoria Wine.

Food: Can I deviate from my standard order and have truffle mac & cheese, followed by gammon (with black pudding) please.

Port: I'm sure Queen Victoria had many surprises for her people in her reign. So I have one for us! It is a bottle sold to me by Seckford as 'unknown port'. It might be Noval 1960. It might not. Regrettably, I just can't find the bottle of 1878 I was sure I had!
