NV Billecart-Salmon Brut Rose
From a half bottle Emma gave me as a present.
It seems like a long time since I last had this. As good as ever, very pale pink with a soft nose of fruit. Gentle mousse and strawberry on the palate, velvety and rich while remaining a light and dry wine. Just the most perfect rose, Emma marginally prefers the Bollinger, but this is the stuff for me. I must buy some more.

It's gone up in price since the days when I was doing my PhD and we'd buy it to drink in bed. Oh well; so have I.

I don't remember drinking Champagne in bed with you. And I never even got a mention in the references.djewesbury wrote:It's gone up in price since the days when I was doing my PhD and we'd buy it to drink in bed. Oh well; so have I.

There is a picture in my mind's eye: you two in bed wearing white nightshirts and nightcaps saluting the beholder with a glass of rose champagne. A kind of TPF Bed-In.

There are so many inappropriate jokes that could follow that question that I suggest we leave it here.LGTrotter wrote:Is that the one about the bloke who dreamt he ate a giant marshmallow?

Well, the mind boggles, but you're the boss. Owen, I'm not taking all those empties downstairs, you can do it in the morning.
