1960's Vintage Dow's Port for Sale
Hi Guys,
A bottle of Dow's Vintage 1960's Port for sale. Item has been stored upright, at ambient temperature in a drinks globe for the entirety of its life. I was given the item by my Grandad to sell recently. Make me an offer. Thanks
Mitch

Where are you? Or, more precisely, where is the bottle?

However there appears to be minimum space between the cork and surface of the port. 0.5-1cm. Thanks

Hi Mitchell,
What is a drinks globe?
If this bottle has indeed been standing upright at ambient temperature for 52 years it is a fair bet that what is inside is more or less undrinkable. Whilst I congratulate you on the honesty of your description I am sad to say that your bottle has no material value other than as a curiosity.

Hi Derek,
Thanks for the information, exactly why I came on here as I knew people would know more about the bottle than me as I'm clueless! Drinks Globe attached! Thanks

While I'm not in the UK and therefore don't really have the option to purchase to begin with, I would like to chime in that I'm impressed that your grandfather is classy enough to have a drinks globe. I'll admit, I've never seen one in person, but on screen they always accompanied very classily appointed places and people, though a good portion of those people were supervillains.

So that we don’t lose the linkage, this bottle was also discussed on FTLoP.
