An unoaked East Coast of New Zealand wine. Currently watching Jools with the last gasps of this and admiring Karen O's legs. Wine was opened to accompany unsuccessful tilapia and, truth be told, wildly overpowered the fish. This says more about the fish than the wine.
Not exactly your standard lemon and butter chardonnay. Bits of lemon but not very buttery. Nicely put together, slightly tart with a hint of grapefruit, maybe a touch of honey. I would buy more but not overly bothered if it were unavailable. A good stock Chard.
