Alex/Julian - to confirm, Christopher is adopting the T94 from me.
What's the guidance/preference for decanting?
Unless there's an objection I'll decant the Cr & T the evening before, leave in the decanter for a couple of hours, and then put back in the bottle and Vac-u-Vin.
No decanting guidelines - each to do as they see best.
I’ll probably Audouze the night before, decant for about 4 hours in the morning and then return to the bottle about 2pm.

The
food order has been updated, with Mike’s corrections (though pls check again).
Only THRA is missing: WhatsApp and texts and messages here unanswered. Has anybody heard from him?

AS may be missing "veg and / fries" (per Alex's post).
CPR is missing green beans.
I'm happy, and looking forward to seeing everyone; it seems to have been a long time.

Hi all,
I attended a port tasting in 2018 - was fantastic - thank you for invite Julian! Would it be possible to join this one? I would need to adopt a bottle.
Best,
Dan

I’ve not heard from Tom for a while. Try calling him?

No - it's from one of those mixed Symington 3-bottle presentation cases alongside a D94 and W94. The case has been at Seckfords for some time.

Yup, that was the Dec 21 / Jan 22 release. The clue is the "matured in our cellars".

Ah you are indeed correct! Just looked at the Seckford record and they went in at the beginning of 2022. Memory like a sieve.

Would anyone object if I brought a Tesco 94 as an additional bottle, which I came across at the same time as locating the Ck94?

Julian would probably object. He hates us having too much Port.
Me, I just hate 1990s corks. Bloody Fonseca cork exploded into tiny fragments, even after being loosened with the JDAW cork impeller.

Croft and Taylor both decanted at 1830. Two hours in decanter before going back into bottles and Vac-U-Vining.
QA samples both OK.
Initial notes on opening details and provenance have been created.

Ditto my Warre cork, but Martinez and Noval came clean. All three opened 23:30.
Edit: N, W, Mz — all decanted 07:45.

Ck and Tesco corks pulled at c9pm last night and decanted this morning at 6.15. No problem with the Ck cork, but yes, the Tesco cork disintegrated!
