2021 Quevedo
Quevedo 2021, bottled in 2023 in 10cl for the 2023 advent calendar. Deep crimson with a very narrow rim. Exuberant sour fruit on the nose, lovely perfume. A delightful palate, honeyed ripe fruit yet with a wicked streak of blackcurrant acidity. Gentle tannins move around the fruit. Menthol heat on the aftertaste quickly settles to a lovely milk chocolate and blackcurrant finish of lovely length. The balance of the wine is impressive, as is the intensity and length of the finish. A lovely wine to drink now, with the balance and constitution to age for several decades. 91/100. Pop and pour.
