From an OWC of 6 purchased on release in 2016, and in my cellar since so hopefully perfect condition.

Opened at 1950 on 11/9/23, checked for condition (all OK) and then Vac-U-Vined. Will go into the fridge for a couple of hours prior to the tasting.

Bottled in 2016. Honey brown colour, 40% opaque. A very pleasant date and orange zest nose, showing the impact of a little bottle age. Honey and lime - perhaps even lemon and grapefruit - oil, sweetened with brown sugar. Gently tannic grapefruit and muscvado sugar. Lingering finish. Pleasant, but not impressive in the way it was when first released. 88/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Pale brown. Some brown sediment. Smells like a sweetish madeira. Pleasant level of VA. Rich brownish red. Good. Long. Sweet.
