Bottled in 1973. Chestnut brown in colour, cloudy appearance - opaque, due to the cloudiness. Rather empty on the nose, perhaps allowing a little bruised apple to show with dry edges and overwhelming acidity that doesn't allow the fruit to balance it. Burnt biscuit aftertaste. The wine is perfectly drinkable, but nothing special. 83/100. Drunk 13-Jun-23. Decanted 14 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
