You can’t guess. And not a Fonseca SQVP.

You still can’t guess. But good use of the clues:

Correct year

You still can’t guess. And the book lacks evidence of a Kopke Roriz 1888. Have you proper evidence, or are you guessing?

Almost, but not quite.

The KR1888 is the only one I have had that was 30% opaque, the others being 25-28%.
Is it Cruz 1988?

You made the most recent valid guess — WC88 — so still can’t guess.

You guessed immediately previously, so you may not guess until another has done so. You must hope that the next guesser is merciful.
Despite the illegal guess, it goes to MigSU. MigSU’s question.

The Port was very good, though.

This evening, a decanter of dirty bacterial Port went down the sink. Name shipper and vintage.

The W85 was excellent.
Well, I was thinking it must have been either the F85 or W85 being the bottles being opened for the '85 horizontal, and that it was so bad that a different bottle was subsequently decanted after the duffer. However, if W85 is wrong, I absolutely refuse to believe it could have been an F85 (denial is not just a river in Egypt) and will go for my most-experienced-bacterial-vp of D63 for my next guess.

Seizing ancient powers; Julian still to let us know the answer to his question if possible sometime, but the guesses have gone unanswered for long enough, so a new question:
What have I recently bought, that I don't really need? (that I don't really need)

Nope. (I've bought very little port this year to date, primarily for reasons mentioned at the last tasting; neither relate to the answer to this question).

A wine storage cabinet? No, wait, another wine storage cabinet?
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.
2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

No (to both - though I like Simon's broad thinking!). The answer is not unrelated to port.

No.
