Obscure house! Cherry jam, plum, cranberry and menthol. Med+ acidity, good flavour but medium finish. Good overall.

Slightly odd colour. Varnish on nose. Cherry Drops (the sweets) on the palate. Warm finish. Not wonderful, but not as bad as some of those on display tonight.

Consumed 6/4/22.

Double decanted at 21.00 and drunk the following day at 19.25.

A deep and rich red, looking to be barely mature; 90% opaque. Bright on the nose with plenty of fruit, well balanced. The balance shows clearly on the entry with warm red cherry fruit and a little ripe plum giving added depth and richness - all combining to give a delicious palate. Sweet fruit on the aftertaste, some fig but dominated by the ripe red apple. A great flavoursome and fruit focussed finish. A delicious wine which was scored just outside the top three wines (out of sixteen) on the night. 91/100. Tasted 06-Apr-22.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

40% opacity, mature red. Lively fruity nose, hint of lychee. Soft, smooth, chewy, dusty raspberries.
